Nikon's newest DSLRs, the D6 and D780, are both six years old now, and its next newest DSLRs, the D850 and D3500, are only a year off from official fossil status. Similarly, Canon's last DSLRs, the EOS-1D X Mark III and Rebel T8i, are also six years old.
Even Pentax, who have steadfastly nailed the flag of their corporate identity to the mast of the SS Moving Mirror, last released a new DSLR in 2022.
Heck, Canon's modern mirrorless age was launched by the EOS R, which turns eight years old in October.
